Lucía Veintimilla is a passionate violinist praised for her strong artistic voice, expressiveness, and technical mastery. Renowned for her commitment to contemporary music, she has established an impressive international career as a recitalist, chamber musician, and soloist, performing extensively across Europe and Asia.

Her debut solo album, Origins (Aria Classics), features commissioned works by prominent composers such as Francisco Coll, Dario Marianelli, and Jorge Muñiz. This album was nominated for Best Instrumental Album by the Spanish Academy of Music and received wide critical acclaim from major media including BBC Radio 3 and Spanish National Radio and TV. It has been celebrated in publications such as La Vanguardia, Ritmo, and the Parisian magazine Art de Vivre.

Lucía’s forthcoming album, Sense, is a groundbreaking collaborative project featuring the world premiere recordings of ten works by some of the most influential contemporary composers of our time. Among them are Georges Aperghis, Kaija Saariaho, Pulitzer Prize-winner Tania León, José Manuel López López, Manuel Martínez Burgos and Gabriel Erkoreka. The majority of these pieces are unpublished, with three composed specifically for this album. Lucía has worked closely with the composers to ensure that these recordings stand as definitive artistic and historical references.

She has performed in prestigious venues such as the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall, MozartHaus Vienna, London’s Barbican Centre and Milton Court, as well as prominent music festivals throughout England, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, South Korea, Germany, and Belgium. Additionally, she has been invited to perform at high-profile events including concerts for the British-Spanish Society, the Spanish Embassy in the UK, the Princess of Asturias Awards, and the Botín Foundation.

Throughout her career, Lucía has received numerous prestigious awards and scholarships, including the British-Spanish Society Centenary Award, the Elizabeth Sweeting Award, The Ann and Peter Law Award (OAE) and the Wolfson Foundation Instrument Award, which enabled her to commission a violin crafted by renowned Spanish luthier Jardón Rico. She completed her Bachelor and Master of Music Performance degrees with distinction at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London.

Lucía has also been featured in “Art On The Move,” a book highlighting 50 Spanish artists based in London, and her performances have been broadcast internationally on BBC Radio 3 and Spanish National Radio and TV.

In addition to her solo career, Lucía is the founder and artistic director of La Serranía Music Fest, a chamber music festival held in the mountainous region of Valencia, Spain. The festival brings together some of the most renowned musicians of our time while celebrating emerging young talents and contemporary repertoire, reflecting its commitment to nurturing the next generation of artists and promoting cultural heritage.
