This album has been nominated for the Spanish Academy of Music Awards as best instrumental album in 2024.

With this ambitious production, which the label is distributing internationally, Veintimilla takes on works that "help to broaden the repertoire of this instrument". Two of them are world premieres she entrusted to Muñiz and Marianelli; Coll's has been recorded the first time in its entirety; and Ysaÿe’s for the second time.

The performer emphasises that the album “is an exercise in the utmost sincerity, courage, strength, and sometimes vulnerability, in which I have explored all kinds of emotions and sounds.” Indeed, “each of the works defies the technical and musical boundaries of the violin”

ORIGINS

Works for solo Violin

Deco Ensemble has been praised as ‘one of the UK's foremost tango quintets’ by The Daily Telegraph.

‘This group brings together the ideal traits of the creative performer: knowledge of the score, awareness of rules and conventions, and brilliance at their instruments’, writes composer Gustavo Beytelmann, a close friend and collaborator of Astor Piazzolla. ‘Their broad colour palette bears witness to the richness of their imagination’

‘Líquido’ encapsulates the fluidity with which this album's twelve carefully chosen pieces combine Argentinian tango influences with classical and jazz.
